1.5 Obituary

February 28, 2009: Paul Harvey, 90, US broadcaster with the ABC radio network. He once commanded a huge audience across America and internationally through the Armed Forces network, and was working up until last year. 1918-2009

February 25, 2009: Philip Jose Farmer, 91, US author of science-fiction novels including the Riverworld series. He was regarded as the first author to address adult sexual themes in science-fiction novels.

February 25, 2009: Wendy Richard, 65, British actress, of cancer. A model in the 1960s, she was best known as matriarch Pauline Fowler in TV soap opera EastEnders and the sexy Miss Brahms in the 1970s sitcom Are You Being Served? She also appeared in two Carry On films and was in a scene of the Beatles film Help! that didn't make the final cut. She married her fourth husband John Burns in October last year after her diagnosis.
